I love @whiteleafprovisions because their products are certified organic and they are incredibly pure and nutritious for my little guy, while also being so convenient and easy to take for all of our Fall outings and adventures! Here is the recipe for Aubrie and Hughie's Cinnamon Applesauce muffins! (This recipe is dairy free and still tasted delicious, but feel free to substitute dairy in if you would like).

Vegan Brownies, Naturally Sweetened with Apple Sauce
By @living_by_lex

These Chocolate Chip Almond Butter Bars are essentially a vegan blondie, but even better because they’re loaded with plenty of creamy almond butter and lots of chocolate chips. And as if it couldn’t get any sweeter, these almond butter bars are vegan, gluten-free, AND made with dates for extra ooey, gooey sweetness. White Leaf Provisions' biodynamic applesauce helps to keep these almond butter bars moist and sweet without adding too much sugar or additional fat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dates, soaked
  • 3/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/31/2 cup chocolate chips, plus more for topping

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease an 8-inch x 8-inch pan.
    2. In a medium bowl, place the dates. Pour in enough hot water to cover. Let sit for 10 minute
    3. Drain dates.
    4. In the bowl of a food processor or blender, add dates, almond butter, and applesauce. Process until well combined, stopping to scrape down the sides.
    5. Slowly add milk; continue to process.
    6. Add oat flour, baking soda, vanilla, and salt. Process until completely mixed.
    7. Stir in chocolate chips until all ingredients are combined.
